Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the medprice.ai website or MCP server (mcp.medprice.ai), including any data, content, or tools made available through them (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

medprice.ai provides access to hospital procedure pricing data — including charge, payer, and cost information sourced from hospital-published price transparency files — through a website and a hosted MCP (Model Context Protocol) server queryable by AI assistants and other software clients.

3. No warranty

The Service and all data, content, and materials provided through it are made available “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

4. Pricing data accuracy

Pricing data is sourced from hospital-published price transparency files and other third-party sources, which may themselves contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Hospital charges, payer-negotiated rates, and pricing methodologies change frequently and may not be reflected in the Service. medprice.ai does not independently verify the accuracy of this data and makes no representation that the prices shown reflect what you, your insurer, or any other party will actually be charged or pay for any procedure. Always confirm actual costs directly with the hospital, your insurer, or your healthcare provider before making financial or medical decisions.

5. Not medical advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes medical, legal, financial, or insurance advice. The Service does not diagnose, treat, or provide recommendations regarding any medical condition, and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician, insurance professional, or financial advisor. Decisions about medical treatment should never be based solely on pricing information obtained through the Service.

6. Usage restrictions

You agree not to:

• use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
• interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service, including through excessive automated requests, denial-of-service attempts, or scraping outside normal use;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying dataset in bulk for resale or republication as a competing or substantially similar service without our prior written consent;
• misrepresent data obtained from the Service as official hospital pricing, as medical or legal advice, or as endorsed or verified by medprice.ai.

We reserve the right to rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access for any client that violates these restrictions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, medprice.ai will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Intellectual property

The medprice.ai name, logo, website, and underlying software are the property of Medprice AI LLC. Underlying hospital pricing data originates from publicly available price transparency files; we claim no exclusive ownership over that public data itself, but the compiled, structured dataset and the manner in which it is presented through the Service are provided solely for use in accordance with these Terms.

9. Third-party clients

The Service is designed to be accessed through third-party AI assistants and MCP clients (e.g., Claude Code, Claude Desktop). We are not responsible for the behavior, availability, or output of any third-party client or AI model that queries the Service, including any AI-generated summaries or interpretations of the data.

10. Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
